MV underground power cables
HNQZ Cable produce XLPE insulated (strippable, semiconductor, and water resistant) Medium Voltage distribution cables with voltage ranging from Uo/U/(Um) 3.6/6/(7.2) kV to Uo/U/(Um) 38/66/(72.5) kV. They are designed in accordance with BS, IEC, VDE, HD or other local and international standards.
Our Medium Voltage cable portfolio includes the N2SXH Low Smoke Zero Halogen Cable in 10kV, 15kV, 20kV, and 30kV. It is a UV-resistant cable available with optional single and dual waterblocking layers.
The NA2XSH medium voltage cable, along with the multicore variants designated NA2XSEH, are low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) insulated and sheathed cables. Increasingly European projects are specifying MV cables that run from outside to in without jointing (as opposed to terminating externally) and with that the need exists for a cable with the fire protection properties of an LSZH cable.
The NA2XSH and its variants are CPR compliant, holding a Euroclassification that is suited to most low, medium and high risk installations across Europe.
From a design point of view, medium-voltage cables structural features are as follows:
- single-core cable,
- three-core cable.
