IEC 60502 2*16mm2 aerial bundled cable ABC cable
Aerial Bundled Cable, often referred to as Aerial Bundle Conductor or simply ABC Cable, are cables for overhead line power, so called for combining multiple single core cables together. With applications including temporary power distribution to street lighting and secondary pole-to-pole service cables, they are lightweight stranded aluminium conductors, both single core and multi-cores. Whilst Aerial Bundle Cables are used in rural power distribution in some countries, they are more commonly used in temporary power installations such as on construction sites.

Operating parameters of ABC cable:
1. The cable laying temperature should not be lower than -20°C. If it is lower than -20°C, certain measures should be taken or indoor wiring should be taken to prevent damage to the cable.
2. The long-term allowable working temperature of the cable: pvc insulation should not exceed 70 ℃, xlpe insulation should not exceed 90 ℃.
3. The longest time in short circuit is not more than 5S, the cable temperature (instantaneous) is 160℃ for polyethylene insulation and 250℃ for cross-linked polyethylene.
