The porcelain suspension insulator is made of porcelain parts and upper and lower metal accessories assembled with glue. The end face of the porcelain piece and the glue fitting contact part of the metal accessory are padded with elastic gaskets, and the glue fitting parts of the porcelain piece are respectively sanded, knurled, and grooved to ensure mechanical strength and prevent loosening and twisting. White glaze is evenly applied to the surface of the porcelain parts, and the surface of the metal accessories is painted with gray enamel.
The main structure of ceramic suspension insulator porcelain has cavity partition (breakdown type) structure and solid (non-breakdown type) structure. Joint plastic-mounted post insulators are generally solid and non-breakdown structures. Compared with the former structure, the latter structure improves safety and reliability and reduces the workload of maintenance and testing.
The shape of ceramic suspension disc insulators has two types: multi-edge or less-edge. The multi-edge increases the creeping distance and the electrical performance is better than that of the less-edge. Except for the rubber-mounted post insulators that will be phased out, the rest of the products are all Polygonal.
Internal glue mounting structure, because the metal accessories are glued into the porcelain hole, the insulation distance is increased correspondingly, the electrical performance is improved, and the space occupied during installation is also reduced. However, the internal glue mounting is not good for improving the mechanical strength, so Insulators with higher mechanical strength requirements should be assembled with joint glue (that is, the upper accessories are mounted with inner glue, and the lower accessories are mounted with outer glue).
