What problems should be paid attention to in the construction and erection of OPGW cable
The construction and erection of OPGW cable is different from that of ordinary steel strand. Attention should be paid to prevent permanent damage to avoid affecting the performance of optical fiber in the future, and special consideration should be given to the torsion and micro bending of OPGW, local radial pressure outside the clamp and pollution to optical fiber. Therefore, the following effective measures should be taken in the construction stage:
(1) Prevent OPGW from twisting
Install counterweight and anti torsion device on the walking plate and wire clamp; Special double groove pulley is adopted; Tension machine with double winches;
(2) Control of setting out tension:
Hydraulic tension paying off machine and tractor with tension release device are adopted;
Limit setting out speed ≤ 0.5m/s;
(3) Prevent and reduce the micro bending and stress of OPGW
No acute angle is allowed (control the minimum bending radius of 500mm);
The diameter of Optical Power Ground Wire reel shall not be less than 1500mm;
The pulley diameter shall be more than 25 times of the OPGW diameter, generally not less than 500mm; The inner side of the pulley shall be provided with nylon or rubber gasket to prevent scratching the surface of OPGW;
Suitable traction line and setting out hardware;
The maximum coil length of the specified Optical Power Ground Wire is 6000m to prevent the number of times of passing the pulley;
Limit the line angle of continuous setting out to ≤ 30 °. In a tension section of setting out, the OPGW direction after the angle shall be in "C" shape;
(4) Prevent optical fiber pollution
During the construction and erection of OPGW optical cable, attention shall be paid to the sealing of the end;
In addition, before the OPGW is transported to the site, the optical fiber connection shall be carried out after the erection and after the construction of the whole line, the optical fiber attenuation acceptance test of OPGW shall be carried out on site in time.
