Three main reasons affecting the quality of ACSR comductor

ACSR conductor is widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines of various voltage levels. Main reasons affecting the quality of ACSR:

1. Production management

During the production of aluminum conductor steel reinforced, ACSR, the quality of incoming raw materials shall be strictly controlled, and attention shall be paid to avoid mechanical damage caused by bumping during transportation. Attention shall be paid to the storage location of aluminum wires, and damage caused by corrosion of corrosive medium and humid air shall be avoided.

2. Single wire drawing processing

1) The single line is loosely wound on the coil, or the single line is pulled too tightly on the line position;

2) The threading pipe has grooves due to friction, the wire is embedded, the single wire is knotted, or the pay off disc is braked too tightly.

2. Single line arched, loose and serpentine.

3. Steel strand process

1) The selection of pitch diameter ratio is unreasonable;

2) The position of each single line on the distribution board of the stranding cage is staggered and unevenly distributed;

3) Die aperture is too large;

4) Individual single wire tension is too large.

Measures to be taken to improve the method

1. Single wire drawing processing

1) Check whether the single line is unevenly arranged or pressed. Pay attention to the neat arrangement of the take-up reel in the wire drawing process;

2) Replace the seriously worn threading pipe in time;

3) Check whether the center of the reel rotates flexibly and ensure that the bearing is well lubricated;

4) Check whether the tension setting of the pay off reel is uniform, and adjust the tension according to the actual situation.

2. Stranding process

1) Before the production of aluminum conductor steel reinforced, the appropriate parameters such as pitch diameter ratio, stranding rate, stranding pitch length and stranding direction shall be selected. They have a direct impact on product quality, stability, strength, resistance and material consumption;

2) Reasonably adjust the position distribution of single line on the distribution board according to work experience of the bare conductors;

3) Select the appropriate hole pressing grid. Generally, the hole diameter of the die shall be 0.3-0.5mm smaller than the outer diameter of the line;

4) Reasonably adjust the tension of the pay off reel to ensure that the tension of each single line is moderate and consistent;

5) Adjust the untwisting device with the same angle to eliminate the internal stress generated during the processing of the guide;

6) In the stranding process, the number of stops shall be minimized and the production shall be as uniform as possible.
